この製品は、アメリカンビンテージTシャツをイメージソースに、オールドアメリカンスタイルのボディディテールを踏襲しつつも、トイズマッコイによってタウンユース用にアレンジされた半袖Tシャツです。トイズマッコイオリジナルの胴周り部分に縫い目のない丸胴ボディ(製品染め/後染め/ガーメントダイ仕上げ)を使用して、プリントカスタム、現代的なシルエット・縫製を取り入れ、カジュアルのテイストをプラスした街着として洗練されたファッショナブルなデザインに再構築されています。
サイズは日本サイズです。シルエットは身幅が絞られ、着丈も短めにされたアメカジスタイルに設定され、スタイリッシュにご着用いただけますようにカスタマイズされています。1枚でメインのTシャツとして着ても、インナーとしても、レイヤードアイテムとしても重宝されるTシャツです。
素材はコットン100%のヘビーウェイト丸胴天竺生地(ガーメントダイ仕上げ)です。ゴツゴツとした糸本来の風合い、ザラっとした質感、程よいムラ感・スラブ感を持った無骨な表情が特徴の生地です。しっかりとしたコシとハリのある古き良きアメリカの乾いた匂いが伝わってくるようなドライな風合いのある肉厚な生地です。
このTシャツには、製品染め加工(/後染め/ガーメントダイ)が取り入れらています。糸や繊維を先に染色する先染めに対して、製品染めは製品としてTシャツに仕上げられた後に染色される方法です。製品染めの特徴は、新品でありながら、くすんだ色落ち感・フェード感・程よいオールド感とヴィンテージ感などの、生地の風合いと色合いに独特な表情がでることです。また、製品染めの時点ですでに生地の縮みが発生しているので、洗濯後の縮みがほとんどなくサイズ感が安定しているのも利点のひとつです。着用と洗濯を繰り返すことで、さらに生地が馴染みコットン特有の風合いが生まれてきます。
また、このTシャツは、「丸編み機」によって編まれています。丸編み機は、生地を筒状に編み上げる旧式編み機で、生産効率は低いのですが、低速でゆっくりと編み立られ、余分なテンションがかからずに、糸そのものの風合いを生かすことができる希少な編み機です。低速で編まれた生地は、温もりのある味わい深い表情に加え、しっかりとした着心地を兼ね備えています。そして、丸編み機で編まれたTシャツの最大の特徴が、ボディの脇部に縫い目がない、いわゆる「丸胴」に仕上がる仕様です。現在は量産を重視した高速の編み機が主流になり、丸編み機は時代遅れの技術とされつつあります。しかし、丸編み機で編まれたTシャツには、量産重視の高速編み機では出せない独特の風合いと時代を超えうるタフネスが宿っています。あえて生産効率の低い丸編み機で編むことで、空気を含みつつも、コシのある強い丸胴生地に編み上がります。また、はぎ目のない服なので、洋服の縫い目が肌に当たらず着心地も良い利点もあります。
ネックリブ(襟周り)は着用を繰り返しても伸びにくい特徴を持つ、耐久性に優れたバインダーネック2本針仕様です。

Fabric : 100% cotton fabricated on loop-wheeling loom. Made of a 100% cotton garment-dyed heavyweight loopwheel knitting jersey fabric with a dry feel, slubby and rugged texture. And garment dyeing gives the t-shirt a faded, dull hue, rough and coarse feeling for a fashionable vintage look. Garment-dyed t-shirt results in a richer color and broken-in feel. Garment dye is a dyeing process performed on finished garments. Garment-dye means the t-shirt is made, then dyed. And the fabric will also develop a comfortable feeling and continue to get softer and cozier through repeated wear. Pre washed, minimal shrinkage. *Due to the saturated color of this garment, we recommend washing separately and wearing with similar or darker shades, as color transfer may occur on lighter garments.
Body : Tubular construction (No side seam construction). Made on loop-wheeling machine which knit the fabric in a seamless continuous tube. The fabric is produced with minimal tension during knitting process and lack of seams means the garment will keep its shape through wear and washing. Loop wheeling looms are special machines that are able to knit a perfect tube, but they can only knit one set diameter (size) per loom, so a loom for each size is required. This is why one hardly ever sees perfect tube construction in modern day garments.
Collar : Ribbed crew neck with bound neckband (cover stitch neckband with double stitching). It used for the neck to prevent overstretching.
Cuff : Unbanded cuffs for full range of motion.
Closure : Pull on closure. Pull-over.
